We were playing with the parachute in our PE. We played lots of games such as turning it into a mushroom, all change, cat and mouse, popcorn, sharks and lifeguards and merry go round.

We read a book called 'Covid Monsters', it taught us about Covid-19 and how to keep each other safe. We wash our hands, keep our distance, cough into our sleeves etc.
After reading the book we decided to make our own Monsters in our copies, we named them and gave them a little life story.
We also made monsters in our art. The children did a wonderful job!
The children are doing very well learning new words and phrases as Gaeilge. This poem is called 'D'ith mé bainne' it talk about eating and drinking different things for breakfast and being very full afterwards.
The children work so so hard all week, both in school and at home, that on a Friday it is nice to just PLAY! Every Friday after break for about 45 minutes we decide what toys we might like and the children get to just chat, relax and play. We are so lucky to have so many amazing toys to choose from in our classroom.

We have a Google Classroom set up with lots of different games, quizzes and challenges for the children to do at home. The children have been having a great time getting to do these extra tasks, learning more and more and also getting a chance to go on their tablets for educational purposes.
One of our challenges was an STEM challenge. Each child had to make a tower of objects found in their house and make the tower taller than themselves. Here are a few pictures of what the children came up with:
Our students are great workers. They love practicing their reading, learning new words, handwriting, working on social skills, oral language and revising their sounds. Here you can see some of the children working with Múinteoir Emma and making these cool dinosaurs.
This is an example of some of the movement breaks our children get to do. Movement breaks are so important for the children to get a break from academic work and it helps them to reset and be better able to concentrate on their school work when they return to class.
Here the children are working on their gross motor skills by doing some Yoga with Múinteoir Emma, our SET Teacher. The children always have great fun doing their movement breaks and Múinteoir Emma likes to do lots of different activities with them.
