Maths Week

This week we have been doing many fun things to celebrate maths week:
  • Maths Trail: we moved around our school, upstairs, downstairs, outside and in our classrooms to answer different maths questions.  We had great fun counting, estimating and measuring with our partners.
  • Maths Games: Aabiah's mam was very good to join us to help out with maths games.  We took part in a range of different games such as fractions, time, addition, subtraction and dominos.  Thanks again to Aabiah's mam for joining us!
  • Maths Puzzles: we had to think outside the box and try and figure out difficult maths puzzles.  This is an example of one of the puzzles with the solution.
Have a look at some of our pictures from our Maths Trail:

The Start of Our Violin Journey!

Today we got the opportunity to hold the violins for the first time.  We learnt a rap to teach us how we should hold them, in order to keep the instruments safe at all times.
We were also delighted to hear our music teachers do a beautiful recital for us!!
We are looking forward to learning how to play the violins after our Halloween break 😄😄

Green School Committee

BIG Congratulations to Hubert who has been elected our Green School Committee representative in our class.  Hubert will be helping to teach other students how to look after our school and to come up with ideas as to how we can help to save the environment.  He will attend meetings and help our school to get our next Green School Flag.
Well done Hubert :)

Congratulations Hubert! :)

Music Generation!!

We have been having a great time at Music Generation every Monday.  We have been learning fun songs and games such as: 'Cumberland Gap', 'we can keep the beat and we can say my name', 'Hello Bonjour Guten tag', 'Pass the beat around the room'.
